Karnataka’s Deputy Chief Minister, DK Shivakumar, made startling allegations on Thursday, accusing rivals of employing Kerala tantriks (occultists) to use black magic against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Shivakumar claimed that these occult practices were aimed at destabilizing the Congress-led government in Karnataka.
According to Shivakumar, tantriks were conducting rituals known as “Shatru Bairavi Yaaga” in an isolated location near the Raja Rajeshwari temple in Kerala to harm him and Siddaramaiah. He further alleged that these rituals, including “Raja Kantaka” and “Marana Mohana Sthambana,” were being carried out through Aghoris, with sacrificial offerings involving animals like goats, buffaloes, sheep, and pigs.
While the allegations did not directly name anyone, they hinted at the involvement of HD Kumaraswamy and his family, including Revanna. When pressed for details, Shivakumar urged for an investigation into the matter.
The ongoing feud between Shivakumar and HD Kumaraswamy escalated after the Prajwal Revanna sex scandal surfaced. HD Kumaraswamy accused Shivakumar of orchestrating the scandal to tarnish the Deve Gowda family’s reputation.
Shivakumar remained defiant, expressing confidence in divine protection against any malicious practices. The Deve Gowda family, including HD Revanna and HD Kumaraswamy, has faced similar accusations in the past, with allegations of resorting to occult practices to harm political opponents.
In response to Shivakumar’s claims, HD Kumaraswamy’s team released videos showcasing the family’s recreational activities, seemingly aimed at countering the allegations of involvement in black magic.
