Ahmedabad is set to witness the wedding of Jeet Adani, younger son of industrialist and Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani, as he ties the knot with Diva Jaimin Shah in a traditional ceremony today. The wedding, held at Shantigram, the Adani township in Ahmedabad, will follow traditional Jain and Gujarati rituals, with festivities beginning at 2 pm. The celebrations started earlier in the week on February 5, marking a series of pre-wedding events attended by close family and friends.
Jeet Adani and Diva Jaimin Shah got engaged on March 14, 2023, in an intimate ceremony attended by family and close friends. Diva Jaimin Shah, the daughter of diamond merchant Jaimin Shah, has maintained a limited media presence. Her father co-owns C. Dinesh and Company Private Limited, a well-known diamond manufacturing company with business operations in Mumbai and Surat.
Gautam Adani has emphasized that his son’s wedding will be a simple and traditional affair, dispelling rumors that global celebrities, including singer Taylor Swift, would attend the event. Last month, after performing the Ganga Aarti with his family at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, he stated that the family follows a humble lifestyle and traditions rooted in working-class values. He reaffirmed that Jeet Adani’s wedding would not be a grand spectacle but a private, family-focused celebration.
The wedding stands out not just for its traditional aspects but also for its commitment to social causes. Jeet Adani and Diva Jaimin Shah have pledged to donate ₹10 lakh each for the wedding of 500 women with disabilities every year, underscoring their dedication to supporting social initiatives. On Wednesday, Jeet Adani met 21 newlywed women with disabilities and their husbands to launch this philanthropic initiative.
Renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra has collaborated with the non-governmental organization Family of Disabled to create custom-made shawls for the couple. This initiative was spearheaded by Jeet Adani, who has been actively involved in supporting people with disabilities. The organization is also crafting hand-painted wedding essentials, including glassware, plates, and accessories, to further the cause.
Jeet Adani, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, is also a trained pilot. He currently serves as a director at Adani Airports and began his career at the Adani Group in 2019, focusing on strategic finance, capital markets, risk management, and governance policy. Inspired by his mother, Priti Adani, who transformed the Adani Foundation into a powerful force for social change, Jeet Adani continues to integrate philanthropy into his personal and professional life.
With its emphasis on tradition, simplicity, and social responsibility, the wedding of Jeet Adani and Diva Jaimin Shah sets an example of how high-profile celebrations can also contribute to meaningful causes.
