The much-awaited JEE Main 2025 Session 2 will begin on April 2, with Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) scheduled from April 2 to April 7, and Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) taking place on April 8 and 9. The exam will be held in two shifts each day, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon for the first shift and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for the second. This article provides all the crucial details and guidelines for candidates appearing for the exam.
On exam day, candidates must be punctual to avoid any delays. Those who did not register with Aadhaar or chose non-Aadhaar authentication must arrive at least one hour before their scheduled time for biometric verification. It’s essential to follow the reporting time mentioned on the JEE Main 2025 admit card, as there are several formalities to complete before the exam begins.
Candidates must bring certain documents and items to the exam center for smooth entry and to avoid any last-minute issues. These include a printed copy of the JEE Main 2025 admit card, a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card, or E-Aadhar), a passport-size photograph (the same one uploaded during the application process), and a self-declaration form downloaded from the NTA website. Additionally, candidates should carry a transparent ballpoint pen and a water bottle for personal use. Diabetic candidates are allowed to bring sugar tablets or whole fruits as required.
The exam format varies by paper. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) will consist of 90 questions, with 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Section A of each subject will contain 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), while Section B will have five mandatory numerical questions per subject. For Paper 2A (B.Arch), there will be 77 questions, covering Mathematics, Aptitude, and Drawing. The Drawing section will carry significant weightage, accounting for 30% of the total marks. Paper 2B (B.Planning) will have 100 questions across Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning sections.
As candidates prepare for JEE Main 2025 Session 2, following the guidelines and ensuring they have all necessary documents will help make the exam day experience smooth and stress-free.
