ISRO is currently working on its first Human Space Flight Program Gaganyaan whose trial will be launched on October 21, 2023. PM Modi in a recent meeting called out scientists to work on the Venus orbiter mission and the Mars lander mission. He further directs scientists to build a land map that will include a series of Chandrayan missions and all upcoming projects.

ISRO Future Plans:
PM Narendra Modi conducted a meeting to know the progress of Gaganyaan and other various space explorations and, he asserted that India should look toward sending humans to the moon by 2040 and having its own space station (Bhartiya Antriksha Station) by 2035.
Indian scientists are also called out by PM to work on interplanetary missions including Venus Orbiter Mission and Mars Lander.
Expenses :
Department of Space tasked to build a land map for further moon explorations. This land map will include the series of Chandrayaan missions, the creation of the Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV), the construction of a new launch pad, the establishment of human-centric laboratories, and the development of associated technologies.
ISRO as of now, is working on Gaganyaan- India’s Human Space Flight Program. It will be launched on October 21, 2023, between 7 am to 9 am. Almost 20 major tests including 3 unscrewed missions of Human Rated Launch Vehicle (HLVM3) are planned. They will also be conducting some tests on crewed space missions. It will be expensive as it has to go through many tests before the final launch.
Statement of PMO:
The Prime Minister’s Office stated in a statement that the meeting had also been called to discuss the future of India’s space exploration projects.
According to the PMO, “The Department of Space presented a comprehensive overview of the Gaganyaan Mission, including various technologies developed so far like human-rated launch vehicles and system qualification.” Three Human Rated Launch Vehicle missions without crew members are among the approximately 20 significant tests that have been listed as being planned. On October 21, the Crew Escape System Test Vehicle will conduct its initial demonstration flight. The mission’s readiness was assessed at the meeting, and its launch in 2025 was confirmed.
