India has made its mark at the Asian Games 2023, excelling in specific sports that brought a total of 36 medals for the country. Six gold medals have come from shooting and one each from cricket, tennis, equestrian, and squash till the evening of September 30.
Indian men’s squash team beat Pakistan in a thrilling final and won the gold medal. In the final held in Hangzhou, the Indian team emerged victorious with a score of 2-1. Abhay Singh’s remarkable performance, where he managed to save two gold medal points, clinched a thrilling victory for the team.
At the Asian Games, India’s Rutuja Bhosale and Rohan Bopanna secured the gold medal in mixed doubles tennis. Despite falling behind by a set, the Indian team made a spirited comeback to overcome Tsung-hao Huang and En-shuo Liang of Chinese Taipei.
