Global education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) unveiled its 2024 edition of the QS Executive MBA Rankings on Wednesday, highlighting India’s top business schools. Securing the leading position in India is the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore, which has also improved its global standing, moving up to the 41st position from 43rd in 2023.
Following closely behind, the Indian School of Business (ISB) holds the second spot nationally. However, ISB’s global ranking has witnessed a decline, slipping from 100 last year to the ‘101-110’ range in 2024. IIM Kozhikode and the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, have secured the third and fourth ranks, respectively, falling within the ‘171-180’ range. Meanwhile, IIM Indore and Woxsen School of Business follow at the fifth and sixth positions, both placed in the ‘181+’ rank category.
Commenting on the importance of global perspectives in business education, QS President and Chairman Nunzio Quacquarelli emphasized the role of Executive MBA programs in cultivating diverse networks and understanding international business dynamics. He noted, “As globalization continues to expand, understanding diverse perspectives, cultures, and customs becomes increasingly crucial in business and beyond. Executive MBA programs play a vital role in fostering these global professional networks.”
He further highlighted that the top programs worldwide focus on international diversity, career outcomes, and high-quality education as core aspects of their offerings. This emphasis underscores the growing significance of Executive MBA programs in preparing business leaders for a globalized economy.
The QS Executive MBA Rankings are widely regarded as a benchmark for assessing the quality and impact of Executive MBA programs globally. The rankings consider factors such as program reputation, career outcomes for graduates, diversity, and faculty qualifications in evaluating the institutions.
The results of the QS 2024 rankings reflect the competitive landscape of Executive MBA programs in India and their contribution to shaping future business leadership in the global arena.
