Banaskantha (Gujarat) [India], June 21 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended Seema Suraksha Prahari Sammelan and performed yoga at Nadabet, the Indo-Pak border zero point in the state’s Banaskantha district, on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21.

The Chief Minister also addressed participants on Yoga Day and in his address at the event. He said that meeting with border security personnel always fills him with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

CM Patel praised the BSF personnel for their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the country’s borders.

“Visitors to Nadabet are deeply impressed by the commitment of BSF personnel at the border. BSF Jawans are actively involved in social initiatives within the border area, contributing positively to society,” he said, emphasising that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” is truly being realised through the efforts of BSF Jawans.

Chief Minister Patel also paid a visit to the Nadeshwari Mata temple in Nadabet, where he was warmly welcomed by the temple trustees.

The event was attended by Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shankar Chaudhary, MLAs Praveen Mali, Aniket Thaker, Lavingji Solanki, Mavji Desai, BSF IG Abhishek Pathak, Collector Varun Kumar Baranwal, and Superintendent of Police Akshay Raj Makwana, as well as a large contingent of BSF officers as well as Jawans.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day, a ‘Yoga Programme’ was organised in the Ahmedabad Central Jail on Friday.

The yoga session was organised in Sabarmati Central Jail, Mahila Jail and Talim Shala which marked the attendance of around 3,000 prisoners.

This event is organised every year for the prisoners in the Ahmedabad Central Jail.

The main objective of this event was to achieve mental peace and create balance in the daily lives of the prisoners.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed yoga at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar and urged people to make yoga a part of their daily lives.

“As we mark the 10th International Day of Yoga, I urge everyone to make it a part of their daily lives. Yoga fosters strength, good health, and wellness. Wonderful to join this year’s programme in Srinagar,” the Prime Minister posted on social media platform X.

This year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society,” emphasises yoga’s vital role in fostering both individual well-being and societal harmony. (ANI)
