Ahead of this, Gaurav Gogoi will undertake a series of engagements across Assam, including meetings with party workers, local public, and opposition leaders, marking the beginning of his leadership at a crucial time as the state prepares for upcoming elections. A Detailed Schedule of Assam Visit
Following his appointment, Gaurav Gogoi is set to arrive in Jorhat directly from New Delhi on May 31. Upon arrival, he will interact with local residents and Congress workers to get a grassroots understanding of the political landscape. On June 1, he will visit Nazira to participate in a meeting convened by Debabrata Saikia, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly. This platform will enable Gogoi to exchange views with both party members and the general public, fostering closer ties within the party and the electorate.
After spending the night in Sivasagar, Gaurav Gogoi plans to travel through Jorhat and Golaghat en route to Nagaon, where he will engage further with party cadres and attend a public meeting. These activities are designed to reinforce party presence across key regions of Assam, mobilizing support ahead of the 2026 state elections.
