In a statement on Thursday, a senior advisor to Former President Donald Trump asserted that the former president’s campaign strategy would remain unaltered even if US President Joe Biden succumbs to Democratic pressure and ends his bid for reelection. Jason Miller, one ofFormer President Donald Trump’s closest advisors, shared these insights with AFP on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where Former President Donald Trump was set to formally accept the party’s presidential nomination in a highly anticipated Thursday night address.
Miller emphasized that “nothing fundamentally changes” in Former President Donald Trump’s campaign regardless of whether US President Joe Biden or another Democratic candidate, such as Vice President Kamala Harris, runs for the presidency. He pointed out that all Democratic leaders share responsibility for what he described as the failure of destroying the economy and compromising border security.
Addressing the potential impact of US President Joe Biden’s withdrawal, Miller stated, “And the fact of the matter is whether it’s US President Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, or any other radical liberal Democrats, they all share responsibility for the failure of destroying our economy and ruining our borders.”
Regarding Former President Donald Trump’s much-anticipated speech, Miller clarified that it would not focus on US President Joe Biden. “It’s about Former President Donald Trump and his vision for the country,” he said. The address comes just days after Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a campaign rally, where a gunman fired shots from a roof, wounding Trump and killing a rally attendee.
Miller hinted at the content of Former President Donald Trump’s speech, promising it would be “very exciting.” He added, “Former President Donald Trump’s going to offer his vision for how we heal America and make the country more affordable and safe for its citizens.” The speech is also expected to include a personal reflection on the assassination attempt, with Miller noting, “Trump will also offer a very personal reflection of what happened on Saturday.”
The Republican National Convention continues to capture national attention as Former President Donald Trump positions himself for a potential return to the White House, undeterred by recent events and potential shifts in the Democratic lineup.
