As the Lok Sabha elections progress, the focus shifts to Pataliputra constituency in Bihar, where BJP’s Ram Kripal Yadav and RJD’s Misa Bharti are locked in a tight contest. The voting is scheduled for June 1, marking Phase 7 of the elections.
Ram Kripal Yadav, the incumbent MP and NDA candidate, highlights development projects undertaken during his tenure, emphasizing improved infrastructure and services in the constituency. He credits the progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar.
In response to opposition claims of insufficient development, Ram Kripal Yadav challenges RJD leaders to witness the changes firsthand, asserting that previous development efforts were directed towards the Yadav family.
Accusing Misa Bharti of neglecting Pataliputra’s needs, Ram Kripal Yadav alleges misallocation of funds to other regions. He positions himself as a devoted representative, emphasizing his availability and dedication to the constituency.
Conversely, Misa Bharti contends that public sentiment is against the BJP, citing grievances over unemployment and inflation. She accuses the BJP of delivering empty promises and failing to fulfill development commitments.
Asserting that the people of Pataliputra are contesting against the BJP, Misa Bharti claims widespread disillusionment after a decade of BJP rule. She appeals to youth support and promises a change in direction.
As polling unfolds across Bihar’s 40 constituencies, including Pataliputra, the outcome will reflect the electorate’s verdict on issues of development and governance. Vote counting for all phases is scheduled for June 4.
