How to Perform Worship on Hanuman Janmotsav
To begin, devotees should first remember Lord Shri Ram before initiating the worship of Lord Hanuman. Clean the northeast corner (Ishan Kon) of your home and place idols or pictures of Lord Hanuman, Lord Ram, and Goddess Sita on a sacred platform. Perform the rituals with devotion and traditional offerings.
Offer These Sacred Items
During the puja, offer Lord Hanuman red-colored clothes, sindoor (vermilion), red flowers, and sweet betel leaves. Additionally, you may present jaggery and roasted gram or sweet boondi as prasad. These offerings are believed to please Lord Hanuman and invite his blessings for happiness and prosperity.
Auspicious Actions to Perform
Visit a Hanuman temple on this day and perform parikrama (circumambulation). Light a lamp filled with jasmine oil and offer orange sindoor at the feet of the deity. Mixing sindoor with jasmine oil before offering is considered especially effective in gaining his favor.
