Uncovering a Disturbing Trend

The local authorities’ investigation into the matter revealed a disturbing utilization of snake venom, a dangerous substance, as a recreational drug at rave parties within the Noida region. Samples seized during the operation confirmed the venom’s origin from highly venomous species such as cobras and kraits. This practice not only endangers public safety but also poses a significant threat to wildlife conservation, raising alarms across various sectors of society.

A Confession and Bollywood Connection

Initially denying any involvement, Yadav according to NDTV report admitted to his role in procuring snake venom for these illicit gatherings . In a further twist to the saga, it was disclosed that the snakes used in Yadav’s video shoots were allegedly supplied by Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, a claim sourced from NDTV. This revelation has added a layer of complexity to the case, implicating other notable figures in the entertainment industry.

Cracking Down on Wildlife Crimes

The arrest of five individuals, including Yadav and four snake charmers, has provided a deeper insight into the network behind the venom’s supply for rave parties, purportedly orchestrated by Yadav. The crackdown was the result of a coordinated effort by the NGO People For Animals, highlighting the collaborative work between law enforcement and wildlife protection organizations in tackling such wildlife-related crimes.

Risks of Snake Venom as a Recreational Drug

The phenomenon of snake venom use, known as ophidism, carries severe risks for individuals seeking intoxication from this dangerous substance. The unpredictable and potentially fatal effects of venom exposure underscore the urgent need for increased awareness and preventative measures to combat this emerging public health issue.
