Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the much-awaited Elevated Expressway at Dhaka on Saturday. The expressway is likely to end the traffic issues in the capital city to a great extent.
Hasina would inaugurate the 19.73 Km Expressway and also the 11.5 Km Airport – Farmgate. The expressway will be opened for people at 6 pm local time. The time to travel to Farmgate from the airport would be reduced to 10 minutes from about one hour.
The work on the project was started about a decade ago. The entire stretch is likely to be open for all vehicles next year.
