Jr NTR’s latest film, Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, had a stellar opening weekend at the box office, grossing over Rs 250 crore worldwide in just three days. The action-packed drama, which was released on September 27, continues to gain momentum with strong box office collections, despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.

On Sunday, September 29, the film earned Rs 40 crore nett in India alone, adding to its already impressive global total. The production house, Yuvasudha Arts, revealed on the same day that the movie had amassed Rs 243 crore worldwide in two days. With Sunday’s earnings, the film successfully crossed the Rs 250 crore mark by the end of its first weekend.

The breakdown of collections indicates that Devara: Part 1 minted Rs 40.3 crore on Sunday. The Telugu version accounted for Rs 27.65 crore, while the Hindi version contributed Rs 11 crore. Although Sunday’s collection was 50% lower than the film’s opening day numbers, it remained robust, signaling continued interest from audiences.

According to data from Sacnilk, the three-day nett collection of Devara: Part 1 in India now stands at Rs 161 crore. The film enjoyed a strong 65.35% occupancy rate for the Telugu version on Sunday, reflecting sustained enthusiasm among moviegoers.

Devara: Part 1 is an action drama that features Jr NTR in dual roles as father Devara and son Varadha, marking another milestone in the actor’s career. The film also serves as a debut in Telugu cinema for Bollywood actors Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, both of whom have been well-received in their roles. Supporting actors such as Prakash Raj, Shruti Marathe, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, and Murali Sharma add depth to the ensemble cast.

The film’s technical team includes music composer Anirudh Ravichander, editor Sreekar Prasad, and cinematographer Rathnavelu. The film has been jointly produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, and released in multiple languages, including Telugu and Hindi, broadening its appeal to a diverse audience.

With a strong opening weekend under its belt, all eyes are now on the film’s performance during the weekdays, which will determine whether Devara: Part 1 can maintain its momentum and continue to dominate the box office in the coming weeks.
