The Delhi government has launched a free crash course for students preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG. This initiative is specifically targeted at 1.63 lakh students from government schools.
Through this course, the Delhi government aims to provide these students with quality coaching and guidance, which will enhance their chances of securing admission into prestigious medical and central universities.
In a major move, the Directorate of Education, Delhi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIG Institute and Physics Wallah Limited to offer free coaching to students who have completed Class 12. This collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to bridging educational gaps and ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder students’ aspirations.
The program, set to commence on April 1, 2025, will offer 180 hours of intensive coaching over 30 days, with six-hour daily sessions covering essential subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, General Aptitude, and English. According to Education Minister Ashish Sood, this initiative will play a crucial role in equipping students with the necessary knowledge and confidence to excel in these highly competitive exams.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted that this initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of enhancing educational opportunities for students from economically weaker backgrounds. “With this program, more students from Delhi government schools will have the opportunity to enroll in top colleges and successfully clear entrance exams for medical and engineering programs,” she stated.
As part of the program, students will receive structured study materials, including PDF notes for efficient revision. Additionally, the initiative will incorporate a dedicated doubt-resolution system and periodic assessments to track students’ progress. This structured approach aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience, ensuring that students receive the necessary academic support and mentorship throughout their preparation journey.
