Honolulu, 14 Aug: The blaze in the forests of Maui islands has engulfed at least 93 people. The blaze that devastated the historic town of Lahaina is the deadliest blaze of the century. There are warnings that the death toll could increase further in the island in the Pacific Ocean south of the USA.
The local media reported that the government help has not yet reached the people caught in the forest fire. Governor of Hawaii Josh Green said that about 2,200 houses in East Maui were completely burnt in the fire. The power supply in the island has been severed. Those who survived are taking care of each other.
