Srisailam (Andhra Pradesh) [India], August 1 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday promised to take Andhra Pradesh to the number one position in the country.

Interacting with the representatives of the Water Users Association of Sunnipenta in Nandyal district, the Chief Minister also promised to promote Srisailam as the most noted pilgrim centre.

“It is my responsibility to promote Srisailam as a divine centre,” Chandrababu said.

The Chief Minister felt that if enough water is available, wealth can be created which will generate a lot of revenue to the Government. This will ultimately help for total alleviation of poverty, he added. Chandrababu stressed the need to form a poverty-free society and promised to develop the State.

“We will certainly generate revenue to the State and distribute the wealth to the poor and also extend all kinds of welfare to all sections of people,” the Chief Minister said.

He said he will take the responsibility of distributing the wealth generated by this Government to the poor.

Maintaining that social justice is the basic policy of this National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government in the State, the Chief Minister observed that “I have come here with a responsibility to bring awareness among all of you that if water is available wealth can be generated. If there is no water the State will turn into a desert. If wealth can be generated poverty can be alleviated,” he added.

The Chief Minister wishes that the youth from every corner of the State, including Srisailam, should go to New York to work there. Recalling how Hyderabad has been developed as a global city, Chandrababu said that he, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, always firmly believe to take the nation to number one position in the world and the State to the top most position in the country.

Pointing out the Supreme Court’s favourable order on Thursday on categorization of Scheduled Castes (SCs), Chandrababu Naidu said that social justice is the policy of the NDA.

“I have introduced the SC categorization into A, B, C and D categories after forming the Ramachandra Rao Commission in 1996-97,” he said.

The Minister for Minorities Welfare, N Md Farooq, the Minister for Roads and Buildings, BC Janardhan Reddy, Minister for Water Resources, Nimmala Rama Naidu, the Minister for Energy, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, the MLA from Srisailam, r Budda Rajasekhara Reddy, the MLA from Nandikotkur, Jayasurya, the Allagedda MLA, Bhuma Akhila Priya, the district collector, Raja Kumari, the DIG, K Praveen, the District Superintendent of Police, Adhiraj Singh Rana are among those who were present.
