In the wake of ongoing discussions surrounding the Netflix series “Heeramandi,” casting director Shruti Mahajan addressed the criticism directed at actor Sharmin Segal’s performance.
Despite widespread acclaim for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali production, a segment of the audience expressed dissatisfaction with Sharmin Segal’s portrayal of the character Alamzeb, citing the belief that a more seasoned actor could have better served the role. However, Shruti Mahajan remained steadfast in her support of Sharmin Segal, acknowledging the inevitability of varying opinions within the industry.
Shruti Mahajan remarked, “You can’t please everyone. Also, given the field that we are in, there are all kinds of feedback. One has to take it all with a pinch of salt and move on.”
