Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa lit up with the vibrant hues of the Indian Tricolour ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s anticipated address at the World Government Summit today. In a special gesture, alongside the display of the Indian national flag, the towering structure shimmered with the inscription ‘Guest of Honor – Republic of India,’ symbolizing the strong camaraderie between the two nations.

The illuminating tribute comes on the occasion of PM Modi’s keynote address at the World Government Summit, where he is invited as the ‘Guest of Honor.’ Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Defense Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, extended the invitation to PM Modi for this significant event.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties:

Ahead of PM Modi’s address, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, extended a warm welcome to India, emphasizing the exemplary relationship shared between India and the UAE. He hailed the strong ties between the two nations as a model for international cooperation, underscoring India’s significant contributions across diverse sectors.

Inauguration of BAPS Mandir:

In addition to his participation in the World Government Summit, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the city’s first Hindu temple and a stunning architectural marvel. The temple’s inauguration is a testament to the enduring values of harmony, peace, and tolerance shared by both India and the UAE.

Highlights of PM Modi’s Visit:

PM Modi’s visit to the UAE commenced with his seventh trip to the nation since assuming office in 2014. He was warmly welcomed by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and engaged in bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties. The visit witnessed the exchange of MoUs aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields.

During his visit, PM Modi also interacted with the Indian community in Abu Dhabi, showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of India. Additionally, he engaged with students from IIT Delhi- Abu Dhabi Campus, highlighting India’s commitment to fostering educational collaborations.

Looking Ahead:

Following his engagements in the UAE, PM Modi is set to embark on a visit to Qatar, reaffirming India’s commitment to bolstering cooperation with its Gulf partners across diverse sectors. His visits underscore India’s proactive approach towards enhancing bilateral relations and fostering closer ties with key strategic partners.
