New Delhi [India], November 20 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla launched a sharp attack on the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), labelling it “Maha Vasooli Aghadi” over alleged bitcoin-related corruption within the party.

“MVA means ‘Maha Vasooli Aghadi.’ Extortion was happening both when the MVA was in power and even after it lost power–corruption and extortion shops continued. This is the identity of the MVA. Now, bit by bit, their ‘crypto corruption’ has come to light,” Poonawalla said on Tuesday.

He further alleged that senior leaders, including Congress’s Nana Patole and NCP’s Supriya Sule, were involved in suspicious bitcoin transactions.

Raising concerns, he questioned, “Today, the key question is–Nana Patole and Supriya Sule, were you involved in bitcoin transactions? Were these transactions legal? Was money coming from foreign sources through these transactions to influence elections? Are the chats and voice messages authentic? Do you know this Mehta and Gupta, and are you involved in this corruption?”

Poonawalla accused the MVA of attempting to manipulate elections and expand their influence through alleged crypto corruption.

“Bit by bit, their corruption is being exposed. Their ‘corruption ki dukan’ (shop of corruption) is coming to light. This is what the MVA does. They must answer these questions,” he asserted.

He also alleged that the MVA’s political strategy revolved around consolidating a “Muslim vote bank” and engaging in “vote jihad” to secure electoral gains. “This is their agenda–they are now trying to influence elections through corruption, including crypto corruption,” Poonawalla added.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23.

In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP secured 122 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the Congress 42. (ANI)
