Raipur, 11 September: Seems like the BJP has intensified its efforts to change its fate in the upcoming Chhattisgarh assembly elections, as the party is all set to launch its two upcoming “Parivartan Yatras.”
Meant to highlight the Centre’s public welfare schemes, the opposition BJP said the Yatra will expose the ruling Congress’s lies and its corrupt practices. The party further added that the ‘Yatra’ is being held to protest against the misgovernance carried out by the Congress Party.
About the Parivartan Yatras:
The first Parivartan Yatra, which is set to be flagged off tomorrow by Union Minister Amit Shah, will last for 16 days and cover a distance of about 1,728 kilometers. There will be about 45 public meetings, 32 welcome meetings, and five road shows in different assembly constituencies during the Yatra.
Likewise, the second “Parivartan Yatra” will be launched by BJP President JP Nadda on September 16 from Jashpur’s Maa Khudiya Rani Mandir and will cover a distance of 1,261 km. Meanwhile, both the Yatras will culminate on the same day at Bilaspur after jointly covering a distance of 2,989 kilometers and 87 assembly constituencies. Reportedly, on the last day of the yatra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address a massive rally on the occasion.
Earlier, in response to a question about the ‘Parivartan Yatra,’ Chhattisgarh BJP Chief Arun Sao said, “The BJP has decided to organize two ‘Parivartan Yatras.’ The first yatra will begin with a public meeting from Dantewada on September 12 with blessings from the Danteshwari temple. HM Amit Shah will flag off the yatra from Dantewada. This yatra will be 16 days long and will cover 1,728 kilometers and 21 districts…The second yatra will begin on September 16 from Jaspur and will continue for 12 days, covering 14 districts. Both yatras will conclude in Bilaspur with a public meeting…JP Nadda will flag off the second meeting.”
Congress Constitutes Committees For Assembly Elections In Chhattisgarh
Meanwhile, ahead of the launch of the Yatra, the Congress on Monday also highlighted its preparation for the upcoming assembly polls, with the formation of several committees. The Congress said the committees will be responsible for developing and implementing the party’s strategy for the polls, as well as selecting candidates and raising funds. These committees include an Election Campaign Committee, Core Committee, Communications Committee, and Protocol Committee, among others.
