Season 3 promises fresh faces and innovative business minds, with Azhar Iqubal being revealed as the newest addition to the panel of sharks.
Azhar Iqubal is set to don the hat of a shark alongside industry stalwarts Deepinder Goyal and Ritesh Agarwal, founders of Zomato and Oyo respectively. This trio of influential figures will be seen alongside returning sharks Aman Gupta, Amit Jain, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, and Peyush Bansal.
The announcement of Azhar Iqubal’s participation in Shark Tank India Season 3 was made through the show’s official X platform, formerly known as Twitter. However, the commencement date for the new season is yet to be disclosed, keeping the audience in eager anticipation.
Azhar Iqubal, an alumnus of IIT-Delhi, left a lasting mark when he co-founded InShorts, a venture that started as a Facebook page and evolved into the prominent news aggregator we know today. Beginning in 2013, their brainchild aimed to summarize news within a concise 60-word limit. Over the years, InShorts swiftly transitioned from a Facebook page to a smartphone application, capturing a massive audience and building a startup valued at a staggering 3700 crores.
Shark Tank India, the highly acclaimed reality show, is broadcast on Sony LIV, gaining immense popularity with each passing season. Having facilitated the growth of numerous startups in the past, including featuring Happillo’s CEO Vikas D Nahar in the previous season, the show has become a beacon of hope for emerging entrepreneurs.
Azhar Iqubal himself expressed his enthusiasm for joining the new season through an Instagram post, stating, “On Shark Tank India Season 3, I want to convey to the youth of India that your background and whether you possess a degree are not significant; what matters is your hunger, discipline, and focus.
