In a significant day of official engagements, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two state visit on October 26, 2023. His itinerary includes visits to both Maharashtra and Goa, where he will inaugurate essential infrastructure projects and the 37th National Games, respectively in Goa.

PM’s Visit to Shirdi, Maharashtra:
The Prime Minister’s day will commence with a visit to Shirdi, Ahmednagar District. At approximately 1 PM, Modi will pay his respects at the revered Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple. As part of his visit, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Darshan Queue Complex, a state-of-the-art mega building designed to provide a comfortable waiting environment for devotees. Significantly, the foundation stone of this new Darshan Queue Complex was first laid by the Prime Minister in October, 2018.
Next, from there PM Modi will then proceed to perform the Jal Pujan of Nilwande Dam and dedicate the left bank (85km) canal network of the dam to the nation. Pertinently, this canal network will benefit 182 villages across 7 Tehsils in Ahmednagar and Nashik districts, enhancing water distribution networks through pipelines. The Nilwande Dam project, conceived in 1970, has been developed at a cost of approximately Rs 5177 crore.
Further, around 3:15 PM in Shirdi, PM Modi will address a public gathering and will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, multiple development projects valued at around Rs 7500 crore. These projects span various sectors, including health, rail, road, and oil and gas. Notable projects in this initiative include the Ayush Hospital at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital, electrification of the Kurduwadi-Latur Road railway section covering 186 kilometers, the construction of the 3rd and 4th railway lines connecting Jalgaon to Bhusaval (24.46 km), and the four-laning of the Sangli to Borgaon section of NH-166 (Package-I). Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate additional facilities at the Manmad Terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and lay the foundation stone of the Maternal & Child Health Wing at Ahmednagar Civil Hospital.
During this program, the Prime Minister will also launch the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana,’ which will provide an additional annual amount of Rs 6000 to more than 86 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra.
PM’s Visit to Goa:
Later in the evening, at around 6:30 PM, Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Goa, where he will inaugurate the 37th National Games at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao. This marks a historic occasion as the National Games are being held in Goa for the very first time. The games, taking place from October 26 to November 9, will witness the participation of over 10,000 athletes from across the country competing in more than 43 sports disciplines at 28 different venues.
Moreover, in Goa, the Prime Minister will also address the participating athletes, motivating them to excel in their respective disciplines.
