Tripura [India], January 21 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha extended heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday for overseeing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a project awaited for 500 years.

“We have been waiting for 500 years for the construction of the Ram Temple. The way our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi is overseeing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, and the fact that he will perform the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Ram on the 22nd, I express my gratitude to him on behalf of the people of Tripura,” Chief Minister Manik Saha told ANI.

Talking about ‘Ramrajya’ Manik Saha said, “Ram holds great significance for us, especially for all Indians. We believe in the concept of ‘Ram Rajya,’ where governance and systems were ideal during Lord Ram’s time, leading to universal happiness. Therefore, the Prime Minister aspires for the entire nation to experience ‘Ram Rajya,'” shared CM Saha. In Tripura, we are also jubilant about this, and people are celebrating by lighting lamps. Today marks the beginning, and tomorrow, at Durga Bari, we will perform a yagya. The entire day will be dedicated to various programs here.”

Additionally, Manik Saha also highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness

“Along with this, we have told everyone that cleanliness should be maintained in the temple and all places. I have personally done it, and I have also encouraged everyone to do the same,” he said.

CM Saha expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Tripura, acknowledging the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in overseeing the construction of the Ram Temple.

Earlier, in response to the Prime Minister’s call for the cleaning up of temples, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday participated in the cleanliness drive of different temples in his constituency, Bordowali.

The Tripura Chief Minister was seen cleaning the surrounding area of a Temple with a broom.

Meanwhile, the week-long rituals for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya entered their sixth day today, marking another significant step in the auspicious event on Monday. The day commenced with the daily puja of the deities, a practice central to the ongoing Pran Pratishtha rituals.

In today’s puja, Anil Mishra, along with his family, the President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Dr RN Singh and others, performed the puja rituals.

Earlier, on Friday, the idol of Ram Lalla, carved by renowned Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

Covered with a veil, the first photo of the idol was revealed during the placement ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, which will be officiated by a complement of priests chosen from across the country. The team of priests is to be led by Lakshami Kant Dixit. (ANI)
