Lahore, 18 Aug : A total of 34 known and 600 unidentified people have been named in the Jaranwala violence case. Pakistan’s industrial city Jaranwala in Faislabad district faced violence on Wednesday. Local police registered cases under 18 different sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to local media reports 29 people have been arrested by the police. The violence is said to have been instigated by Islamic priests. The people from the Christian community were charged with blasphemy. Several churches were vandalised by the Islamic activists. People were instigated in the mosques. Several houses were also set on fire.
