Ghaziabad, 07 Sept (HS): Nearly one thousand cops have been deployed to ensure the safety of delegates coming for the G20 Summit at Hindon Airport in the Uttar Pradesh district, according to a senior official. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans Hindon) Shubham Patel, personnel will also be positioned on the rooftops of high-rise buildings next to the airport, and inhabitants of neighbouring villages have been instructed to avoid terraces during the passage of delegates.
Personnel have also been placed on roofs in these regions, according to him. A thousand civil and traffic police officers have been deployed to ensure the safety of foreign delegates from the airport to the Delhi border. Heavy trucks will be prohibited from entering Delhi from Thursday evening.
This strategy will be in effect until the end of the G20 Summit, according to Patel. Light motor vehicles would not be permitted to travel towards Delhi during the delegation’s journey from Ghaziabad to Delhi. According to him, all heavy trucks would travel to Delhi through the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and National Highway 9. Commuters may request the assistance of traffic officers in an emergency. Locals have been warned not to disobey orders, according to Patel.
The G20 Leaders’ Summit will take place on September 9th and 10th. More than 30 heads of state and top officials from the European union and invited guest nations, as well as 14 leaders of international organizations, are expected to attend the summit.
