In a remarkable display of artistic talent, 13-year-old Presley Shekinah set a world record by creating a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi using 800 kg of millets. The portrait, which covers an expansive 600 square feet, was completed in a continuous 12-hour session. This achievement took place in Kolpakkam, Chennai, where Shekinah resides with her parents, Pratap Selvam and Sankeerani.
Shekinah, a class 8 student at Vellammal School in Chennai, commenced her artistic endeavor at 8:30 am and concluded at 8:30 pm. The portrait was crafted as a tribute to Prime Minister Modi for his upcoming birthday on September 17.
The UNICO World Record recognized this massive millet painting as the “World’s Largest Millet Painting” and categorized it under student achievements. R Sivaraman, director of UNICO World Records, presented Shekinah with a certificate and medal in honor of her accomplishment.
The event garnered appreciation from her school administrators, principal, family members, and relatives, all of whom celebrated the young artist’s creative feat and dedication.
