In a shocking incident in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, a woman allegedly administered electric shocks to her husband after he confiscated her mobile phone over excessive screen time. The 33-year-old woman reportedly sedated her husband, tied him to the bed, and physically assaulted him, including administering electric shocks. Even their 14-year-old son was not spared when he tried to intervene.
The victim, identified as Pradeep Singh, is currently receiving treatment at Saifai Medical College. Pradeep Singh, who got married to Baby Yadav in 2007, lodged a complaint stating that his wife had been frequently communicating with someone on her phone. He decided to confiscate her phone, leading to her violent reaction.
Pradeep Singh detailed the ordeal in his complaint, alleging that his wife threatened to kill him and their son. He described how she sedated him and subjected him to brutal torture, including hitting him with a cricket bat and administering electric shocks.
Anil Kumar, the Station House Officer of Kishni police station, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused woman under sections 307, 328, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The woman is currently evading authorities.
