Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh: A homeguard jawan’s decision to create a reel by laying out currency notes on his bed has sparked controversy. The jawan had arranged ₹200 and ₹500 notes on his bed and was playing a song in the background that goes, “What’s the value of money, I’ll shower heaps of it.” Following the viral spread of this reel, the Ujjain Police have initiated an inquiry. The Superintendent of Police has taken note of the reel and ordered an investigation. Identified as Ravi Sharma, the homeguard responsible for creating the reel shared it on his social media account. After its circulation, the police administration took cognizance of the matter.
Ravi Sharma, a homeguard stationed in Ujjain district, arranged ₹500 and ₹200 notes on his bed to create a reel, adding a song as background music. The video was shared on Facebook and quickly gained traction on social media platforms. It’s reported that Ravi recently sold his house, and the money he received from the sale was used to create the video, where he laid out the notes on his bed.
District Homeguard Commandant Santosh Jaat confirmed that they have gathered information about the money from Ravi. He mentioned that the funds used in the video were obtained from selling his house, which is evident in the video. Bank details have also been provided. Currently, under the directive of the Superintendent of Police, the matter is under investigation. Additional Superintendent of Police has been tasked with the inquiry. It will ascertain the source of the funds; if any illegal source is identified, appropriate action will be taken to seize the amount.
