The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) of Dubai has released a circular outlining the official working hours for employees of federal authorities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
As per the circular, ministries and federal authorities will observe official working hours from 9:00 to 14:30, Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 to 12:00 on Fridays.
In a statement, it added, “The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) would like to extend its greetings to you, wishing everyone well-being and success. As the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1445 AH approaches, and may it bring you all the blessings, the official working hours for the federal government sector
during the holy month of Ramadan will be as follows: a. From Monday to Thursday- 9:00 am to 2:30 pm; b. Friday: from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.”
Significantly, FAHR emphasized the flexibility for ministries and federal authorities to implement alternative working arrangements during Ramadan, tailored to their specific needs and within the parameters of approved daily working hours.
Furthermore, the Authority highlighted that federal government departments have been instructed to permit a maximum of 70 percent of their workforce to work remotely on Fridays throughout Ramadan, in accordance with established regulations.
