Heavy Rain Disrupts Mumbai’s Transportation
Mumbai experienced significant disruptions in its transportation services on Friday due to a heavy downpour. The incessant rain, interspersed with heavy spells, led to waterlogging on various roads and railway tracks, causing delays in public transport services.
The Mainline of the Central Railway faced delays due to a technical issue in a train engine, as confirmed by officials to news agency PTI. Meanwhile, the Western Railway reported that its suburban services continued to operate.
The Mumbai centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted moderate to heavy rains for the city, indicating continued adverse weather conditions.
