A tragic incident occurred in Norway as a tourist lost his life after falling nearly 2,000 feet from the iconic Pulpit Rock, famously featured in the ‘Mission Impossible’ movie franchise. Confirming the fatality, Nina Thommesen, a police attorney, stated that the man, described as being in his 40s, met his demise on June 2 after slipping from the cliff, as per CNN reports.
Authorities, while withholding the man’s identity, disclosed the recovery of his phone and identification. Describing the case as a fall accident, Thommesen emphasized that there were no suspicions of criminal activity surrounding the incident.
Pulpit Rock, known locally as Preikestolen, stands as one of Norway’s prime tourist spots, attracting over 300,000 visitors annually with its breathtaking views. Notably, the cliff gained additional fame after being showcased in the sixth installment of the ‘Mission Impossible’ series, where it served as the backdrop for a thrilling action sequence.
