At the ‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood’ event in Hyderabad, filmmaker SS Rajamouli disclosed plans to expand the ‘Baahubali’ franchise across various mediums. Joined by producer Shobu Yarlagadda, SS Rajamouli unveiled insights into the upcoming ‘Baahubali’ animated series at AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad.
SS Rajamouli highlighted the need to transcend traditional film boundaries, citing the example of Western media where brands often extend into multiple forms of entertainment. He emphasized the challenges faced in previous attempts to diversify the ‘Baahubali’ brand with games, VR films, and series, expressing optimism for the future expansion.
‘Baahubali’ is set to evolve beyond animated series, with SS Rajamouli hinting at further developments across various media platforms. However, specific details were not disclosed during the press conference.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda echoed SS Rajamouli’s sentiments, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise and its appeal to diverse audiences beyond children. He teased forthcoming endeavors aimed at immersive experiences for fans.
‘Baahubali: Crown of Blood,’ an animated series, is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar from May 17 in multiple languages. The event saw Rana Daggubati absent but sharing a video message for the team and fans. Voiced by Shard Kelkar, the series is written by Sharad Devarajan.
