New Delhi [India], February 1 (ANI): After Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget in Parliament, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Budget for 2024-2025 sits on the pedestal of outstanding governance over the last 10 years.

“As a citizen, I take immense pride in the leadership of Prime Minster Modi ji which has delivered historic accomplishments, transcending the cumulative achievements of the past. Action speaks louder than words – the developmental data presented in today’s budget reflects the nationwide consensus that people will elect Prime Minster for a record third time,” he said.

“The target to support 3 crore Lakhpati Didis is nothing but revolutionary – which will transform the country’s rural landscape like never before. Prime Minister’s clarion call of Jai Anusandhan takes a firm shape in the form of a Rs 1 lakh crore corpus for research and innovation. This shall expand our frontiers of Techade,” he added.

CM Himanta further added that by not imposing any additional taxes the Modi Government has once again demonstrated that tax payer welfare remains its topmost priority.

“In a nutshell, this Interim Budget serves the twin aim of firmly establishing Bharat as the world’s fastest-growing economy for a sustained period of time and lays a strong foundation for PM to lead the nation’s journey to becoming the third largest economy by 2029,” the Assam CM said.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that the budget draws the roadmap to achieve PM Modi’s vision of a developed Bharat by 2047

“The Union Budget draws the roadmap to achieve PM Modi’s vision of a developed Bharat by 2047. The budget speech sheds light on the milestones achieved by the Modi government in the last 10 years on its journey to make Bharat the foremost nation in every sector during the Amrit Kaal. On the very foundation of these feats, the magnificent edifice of a Viksit Bharat is being built,” he said. (ANI)
