Shikhar first joined the ODI team against Australia in 2010. He played his last ODI against Bangladesh in 2022, and since then he has not got a place in Team India. Before taking the story forward, let’s take a look at that video of Gabbar in which he said, Namaskar! Today I am standing at a turn, from where only memories are seen when we look back and the whole world when we look forward.

Dhawan played for Punjab Kings in 2024
Shikhar has been associated with the IPL since its first season. While announcing his retirement, he did not say anything about playing IPL or not, which suggests that he may continue playing IPL. In the first season 2008, he played his first match for Delhi against Rajasthan Royals. The last match was played in 2024 for Punjab Kings against Sunrisers Hyderabad. This season, he was not available in many matches due to injury, that is, he could not play the match.
From marriage to divorce
Shikhar Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee, who is 10 years older than him, in 2012. Ayesha already had two daughters. Both of them became friends on Facebook, which turned into love. In 2014, they had a son Zoravar. Then in 2021, Shikhar and Ayesha separated. Ayesha had written about her divorce from Shikhar in a post on social media. On 4 October 2023, the Family Court of Delhi approved the divorce. The court admitted that Ayesha committed mental cruelty with Shikhar. The court approved Dhawan’s allegations in the divorce petition on the ground that Ayesha either did not oppose them or she failed to defend herself.
