During their meeting, both foreign ministers delved into regional and international matters of shared interest, reflecting the commitment of both countries to engage constructively on global issues.

The highlight of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish the Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council. This council is envisioned as a platform to enhance collaboration and deepen cooperation, aligning with the aspirations of both leaderships and their respective peoples.

“HH Prince @FaisalbinFarhan and H.E. @iliadarch signed an MOU to establish the Saudi-Georgian Coordination Council, aiming to expand collaboration to achieve the aspirations of both leaderships and peoples,” the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry in a statement said.

Fahd Al-Harthy, the Director-General of the General Administration of the Secretariats of the Councils and Committees.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili expressed his pleasure at the productive meeting and his first official visit to Saudi Arabia. He noted the high potential for expanding the friendly and positive cooperation agenda between the two countries. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia said, “It was a pleasure meeting my colleague @FaisalbinFarhan during my first official visit to Saudi Arabia.
