In the upcoming final on May 19, Rankireddy and Shetty will face stiff competition from the Chinese duo of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi, who emerged victorious in the other semifinal against Kim Gi Jung and Kim Sa Rang of South Korea.

Meanwhile, in the women’s doubles category, the fourth-seeded Indian pair comprising Tanisha Carsto and Ashwini Ponnappa are set to take on the top seeds Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai of Thailand in the semifinals later on May 18.
