He highlighted the potential risk of a disputed election outcome, stating, “The first question we’ll ask is: will we have an orderly transition of power?” He warned that the possibility of election results not being accepted poses a significant threat to the political stability of the U.S.
In his comments on the economy, Ray Dalio identified the election as a major factor shaping the global economic landscape. On Wednesday, he described it as an “issue of internal order and disorder,” reflecting his concern about the broader impact of U.S. political dysfunction on international markets and governance.
One of Ray Dalio’s primary concerns is the “win-at-all-cost mentality” that he believes has taken root in American politics. When asked about his political preferences, Ray Dalio made it clear that neither current party leaders reflect what the country needs. “What the country needs is the moderates coming together to be able to work together and make great reform,” he said. Pointing to Singapore as a model of how education and opportunity can promote societal order, Ray Dalio emphasized the importance of economic inclusivity. While he praised certain aspects of American society, such as innovation and higher education, he criticized the fact that these benefits are enjoyed by only a small portion of the population.
