Rahul Gandhi has sent a gift to the barber’s shop in Uttar Pradesh where he got his beard and hair trimmed during the Lok Sabha election campaign, almost three months after the visit. Barber Mithun expressed his happiness upon receiving the gift.
Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP from the Raebareli parliamentary seat, had attended a public meeting in Lalganj on May 13 during the Lok Sabha election campaign. After the meeting, he stopped at Mithun’s shop in Brijendra Nagar for a beard trim.
Mithun reported on Friday that Gandhi had engaged in a lengthy conversation with him during the visit.
“After more than three months, suddenly on Thursday, a vehicle stopped near my shop. Two people unloaded two chairs, a shampoo chair, an inverter set, and other items from the vehicle and handed them over,” Mithun said.
Mithun was informed that these items were sent by Rahul Gandhi, according to a party office bearer. Mithun was delighted and expressed his gratitude to Gandhi.
