Qatar recently engaged in discussions at the Communications Group meeting of the Global Coalition against ISIS, held over two days in London. Representing Qatar at the gathering was Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab, the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, Al Hanzab reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast and meaningful commitment within the international coalition. He emphasized Qatar’s support for ongoing endeavors aimed at addressing the fundamental causes of extremism and terrorism. Al Hanzab stressed the necessity for collective action from the global community, emphasizing that combating terrorism requires collaborative efforts beyond the coalition’s member states.
Highlighting Qatar’s pivotal role, Al Hanzab underscored that Qatar was among the founding nations of the coalition. He expressed Qatar’s unwavering readiness to contribute to international initiatives aimed at fostering security, stability, and development worldwide.
In a statement released, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said, “His Excellency the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that Qatar was among the founding countries of coalition, voicing the State of Qatar’s constant readiness to contribute to international efforts aimed at achieving security, stability and development.”
