Gautam Buddh Nagar, 23 February 2026

The budget meeting of the District Panchayat, Gautam Buddh Nagar, was held on 23 February 2026 at the District Panchayat auditorium under the chairmanship of District Panchayat Chairman Amit Chaudhary. The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Additional Chief Officer Priyanka Chaturvedi.

During the meeting, members deliberated extensively on various matters of public importance and issues concerning public welfare. Discussions focused on developmental priorities, financial planning, and policy decisions aimed at strengthening infrastructure and civic facilities across the district, particularly in rural areas.

Officials informed that development works worth approximately ₹9.00 crore were proposed for the upcoming financial year 2026–2027. In addition, an income target of approximately ₹15.00 crore was set for the District Panchayat. The estimated allocation under the Fifth Finance Commission was projected at around ₹3.40 crore.

Authorities stated that the financial proposals were designed to ensure balanced development while enhancing administrative efficiency and resource management. The meeting emphasised the need to align budgetary allocations with local developmental requirements and public service delivery objectives.

A significant decision taken during the session was the unanimous approval of a proposal to impose restrictions on the use of high-volume DJ systems in rural areas. Members stated that the measure was intended to address concerns related to noise pollution and its impact on public health and community well-being.

Another key resolution passed during the meeting pertained to prioritising the construction of cremation facilities at rural cremation grounds. Members collectively agreed on the importance of strengthening basic civic infrastructure in villages to ensure dignity, convenience, and improved public amenities.

Chairman Amit Chaudhary urged all elected representatives and officials present at the meeting to remain committed to the comprehensive development of Gautam Buddh Nagar. He emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to implement development projects effectively and ensure that public welfare initiatives reach beneficiaries without delay.

Highlighting the broader developmental vision, Chaudhary encouraged stakeholders to work collectively toward strengthening infrastructure, enhancing service delivery mechanisms, and addressing the evolving needs of residents. He reiterated that development initiatives must be pursued with transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

The meeting concluded peacefully following a formal vote of thanks delivered by the Chair.

Several senior public representatives and officials were present at the meeting, including MLA Dadri Tejpal Nagar, Legislative Council Member Shrichand Sharma, District Panchayat Members Deva Bhati, Mohini, Jaywati Devi, and Sunil Bhati.

Senior district officials attending the meeting included Chief Development Officer Shivakant Dwivedi, Chief Medical Officer Narendra Kumar, and Chief Veterinary Officer Arun Kumar, along with other concerned officers.

The District Panchayat stated that the decisions taken during the budget meeting reflect its commitment to planned development, improved civic infrastructure, and citizen-focused governance across the district.
