The Prime Minister of Bhutan, Dasho Tshering Tobgay, is set to embark on an official visit to India from March 14 to March 18, 2024, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his visit, Prime Minister Tobgay is scheduled to meet with President Droupadi Murmu and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, he will receive greetings from the External Affairs Minister and other prominent Indian officials. Prime Minister Tobgay’s itinerary also includes a significant stopover in Mumbai, reflecting the multifaceted nature of bilateral engagements between the two neighboring nations.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Modi had extended warm congratulations to Prime Minister Tobgay upon his victory in the parliamentary elections in January. In his message, PM Modi expressed eagerness to further strengthen the unique ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
