Starting off the visit, on November 15th, at approximately 9:30 AM, Prime Minister Modi will make a historic visit to the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park cum Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi, where he will pay homage to the iconic leader whose contributions were pivotal in India’s struggle for independence. From there, he will then arrive to Ulihatu Village, the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, to offer floral tributes at the statue of the revered freedom fighter.
Continuing his itinerary further, Prime Minister Modi will further participate in a program commemorating the third Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, 2023, slated for around 11:30 AM in Khunti. This event will see the launch of several key initiatives:
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Prime Minister Modi will kickstart the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.’ This initiative will focus on reaching out to the people, raising awareness, and ensuring that the benefits of various welfare schemes, including sanitation facilities, financial services, electricity connections, LPG cylinders, housing for the underprivileged, food security, proper nutrition, healthcare, and clean drinking water, reach all targeted beneficiaries. The Yatra will identify potential beneficiaries and will initially commence in districts with substantial tribal populations, eventually covering all districts nationwide by January 25th, 2024.
Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM PVTG) Mission: During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will unveil the ‘Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PM PVTG) Mission.’ This initiative aims to uplift the 75 PVTGs residing in 18 states and union territories across 220 districts, with a combined population of approximately 28 lakhs. These tribes, often residing in remote and inaccessible areas, will receive support in the form of road and telecom connectivity, electricity, housing, clean drinking water, education, healthcare, nutrition, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. The mission, with a budget of about Rs. 24,000 crore, seeks to improve the lives of these vulnerable tribal groups.
15th Instalment of PM-KISAN: In a remarkable demonstration of the government’s unwavering commitment to farmers, Prime Minister Modi will also release the 15th instalment of approximately Rs. 18,000 crores under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This direct benefit transfer will reach over 8 crore beneficiaries, bringing the total amount transferred to farmers’ accounts to over Rs. 2.62 lakh crores in 14 instalments.
In addition to these monumental launches, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects collectively valued at approximately Rs. 7200 crores, spanning across multiple sectors, including rail, road, education, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Notable projects include the four-laning of the Mahagama – Hansdiha section of NH133, the four-laning of the Basukinath – Deoghar section of NH114 A, the KDH-Purnadih Coal Handling Plant, and the new academic and administrative building of IIIT Ranchi.
Other projects set to be inaugurated and dedicated to the nation include the new campus of IIM Ranchi, the new Hostel of IIT ISM Dhanbad, a Petroleum Oil and Lubricants (POL) depot in Bokaro, and significant railway projects, including the doubling of the Hatia-Pakra Section, Talgaria – Bokaro Section, and Jarangdih-Patratu section.
