Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a public sector telecom operator, has initiated ‘Project 721 Phase 9.2’ to upgrade its 2G mobile services to 4G in urban areas under its Business Area, covering five districts in Madhya Pradesh. This initiative, part of the ‘Make in India’ drive, involves installing indigenously developed 4G technology equipment manufactured by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). With the aim to provide enhanced connectivity, BSNL’s 4G services are also 5G compatible.
