In response to the tragic incident at a firecracker factory in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of lives and injuries, extending their condolences to the affected families.
President Murmu conveyed her condolences and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured in a message posted on X (formerly Twitter). She expressed her profound sadness over the news of the fire in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, which resulted in multiple casualties. The President offered her deepest sympathies to the grieving families during this difficult time.
Prime Minister Modi also shared his distress over the loss of lives and informed the public about the assistance being provided to those affected by the tragedy. He announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased person and Rs. 50,000 for the injured. This additional compensation supplements the Rs. 4 lakh announced by the state government. PM Modi assured that the local administration is actively aiding those impacted by the incident.
The explosion at an illegal firecracker factory in the Bairagarh area of Harda district, Madhya Pradesh, resulted in the tragic loss of more than 10 lives and left approximately 50 individuals injured. The blast also caused extensive damage to nearby houses and affected dozens of commuters. To ensure safety, authorities evacuated over 100 houses due to ongoing explosions at the factory, and numerous two-wheelers were engulfed in flames due to the blast. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav pledged to take strict action against the responsible parties, promising that they will not escape justice.
