Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to meet US President Joe Biden on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Italy, according to National Security Advisor (NSA) Jake Sullivan. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Italy for the summit, Jake Sullivan stated, “He (Biden) expects to see Prime Minister Modi here. It’s up to the Indians to formally confirm his attendance, but our expectation is that the two of them will have the opportunity to encounter one another.”
Jake Sullivan also noted that President Biden recently spoke to Prime Minister Modi over the phone while they were both in Paris. During the call, President Biden congratulated PM Modi on his election victory and on being sworn in for a third term as Prime Minister.
