Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to take the helm once again as he chairs the upcoming Virtual G20 Leaders’ Summit on 22 November 2023.
Leaders from all G20 member nations, including the Chair of the African Union, along with representatives from nine Guest countries and heads of 11 international organizations, have been extended invitations for this pivotal gathering.
The Virtual Summit holds the mandate to build upon key outcomes and action points from the New Delhi G20 Summit, ensuring a seamless continuation of the global dialogue. It will also serve as a platform to assess developments since the New Delhi Summit and incorporate insights from the recently concluded 2nd Voice of Global South Summit on 17 November 2023.
Going beyond discussions, the Virtual G20 Summit aims to advocate for the effective implementation of G20 decisions. This advocacy will be carried forward through engagement on both national and international platforms, reflecting a shared commitment to transforming decisions into impactful actions.
Moreover, India holds the G20 Presidency until 30 November 2023. The G20 Troika during the Brazilian G20 Presidency in 2024 will comprise India, Brazil, and South Africa.
