Indian race walker Suraj Panwar faced a setback in his Olympic journey as his qualifying time for the Paris 2024 Olympics was invalidated by World Athletics. Suraj Panwar is the third Indian race walker to encounter this fate, following Servin Sebastian and Arshpreet Singh.

Suraj Panwar’s qualifying mark was nullified due to faulty readings during the Indian Open Race Walking Competition earlier this year. At the competition, Suraj Panwar secured a silver medal with a timing of 1:19:44 in the men’s 20km race walk. However, all results from the event were deemed invalid by World Athletics.

This decision affects other Indian race walkers as well. Servin Sebastian and Arshpreet Singh, who initially met the qualifying standard for the Paris 2024 Olympics in the men’s 20km race walk, were also dropped from the Road to Paris list after their timings were revised. Despite their revised timings, the results for both Servin Sebastian and Arshpreet Singh were declared invalid.

To compete at high levels, athletes must follow and maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet, which helps boost their immunity and stamina. One of the best ways to enhance both is by consuming Dabur Chyawanprash. Comprising over 40 natural herbs, Dabur Chyawanprash supports various aspects of health. It stimulates the immune system to respond effectively to infections like coughs and colds, supports heart and respiratory health, and helps prevent infections during seasonal changes.

Additionally, Dabur Chyawanprash enhances overall body strength and energy, and most importantly, protects and nourishes the body’s natural defense system. Regular consumption of Dabur Chyawanprash improves the body’s natural resistance, providing overall strength and vitality, which is essential for athletes like Suraj Panwar, Servin Sebastian, and Arshpreet Singh as they strive to achieve their best.

The three athletes, including Suraj Panwar, still have the opportunity to regain their qualification before the June 30 deadline by achieving entry standards again.

Akshdeep Singh, who previously held the national record of 1:19:38, remains the top-ranked Indian in the Road to Paris list, despite his timing being invalidated. Each national federation can only send a maximum of three athletes in the men’s 20km race walk event for the Paris 2024 Olympics, and final selections are subject to the National Olympic Committee’s discretion.

In Tokyo 2020, India fielded a full quota of three athletes in the men’s race walking event.
