New Delhi [India], October 24 (ANI): Referring to the Ram Mandir, which is currently under construction in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that Lord Rama’s arrival is imminent, with only a few months left before he takes his place in the temple.

“We are fortunate enough to witness the construction of Ram Temple, and on the next Ramnavami in Ayodhya, every note echoing in Ramlala’s temple will bring joy to the world. There are only a few months left for Lord Ram to reside in the Ram Temple. Lord Ram is just about to arrive…” the PM said.

Addressing a public gathering at the Dwarka Sri Ram Leela Society at DDA ground in Sector 10 in the national capital, the PM also said that Vijaydashimi is a festival of victory of justice over injustice, of humility over arrogance, and patience over anger.

He further said that the construction of the Ram Temple at his birthplace in Ayodhya is a testament to the power of patience the people of the country have maintained for centuries.

“The construction of the grand temple of Lord Ram at His birthplace is a symbol of the patience of Indians for centuries. (Bhagwan Ram ki janmabhoomi par ban raha bhavya mandir, sadiyo ki prateeksha ke baad hum Bhartiyo ke dhairya ko mili vijay ka prateek),” the PM said.

The Supreme Court’s verdict in 2019 on the Ayodhya dispute paved the way for the construction of a grand Ram temple.

Following the apex court verdict, the centre set up the Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra’ Trust to take all decisions regarding the construction of a magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The construction of the temple has been progressing at a steady pace under the supervision of the Trust.

The idol of Ram Lalla will be in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Temple on August 5, 2020. Upon arriving at Ram Leela ground, the PM was given a traditional welcome by the organisers’ of the Dwarka Shri Ramlila Society with a shawl, a statue of the Ram Durbar, and a mace.

Kicking off the festivities with a pooja and offering tilak to the characters involved in the Ramlila, the PM is the 11th chief guest of the annual event. He had earlier attended the programme in 2019.

In a swipe at the opposition parties, the PM said that the day should also mark the burning of those forces that try to ‘divide’ the country in the name of casteism and regionalism.

“We have to keep in mind that today, the burning of Ravana should not be just the burning of an effigy. This should be the burning of every deformity due to which the mutual harmony of society deteriorates. Let this be the burning of those forces that try to divide India in the name of casteism and regionalism…,’ PM Modi added.

The PM further said that in India, weapons are not used for annexation but for defence.

“On Vijayadashami, there is a tradition of ‘Shastra Puja’ as well. On Indian soil, weapons are worshipped not to dominate any land but to protect its own land. Our Shakti Puja is not just for us but for the welfare of the entire world…” PM Modi said.

Referring to the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, the PM said that the country is celebrating the festival of Dussehra after almost two months of the Moon mission.

After a 40-day journey into space, the Chandrayaan-3 lander, ‘Vikram’, touched down on August 23 at the uncharted lunar South Pole making India the first country to do so.

“I wish all the countrymen a very happy Navratri and Vijayadashami. The festival symbolises the victory of good over evil. This time we are celebrating Vijayadashami when it has been 2 months since our victory over the Moon. We know the knowledge of Gita and also have the capability to build INS Vikrant and Tejas,” the PM said.

The Prime Minister reiterated the importance of the next 25 years for India. “We have to create an India of Lord Ram’s ideas. A developed India, which is self-reliant, a developed India, which gives the message of world peace, a developed India, where everyone has equal rights to fulfill their dreams, a developed India, where people feel a sense of prosperity and satisfaction. This is Ram Raj’s vision”, he said.

In this light, the Prime Minister asked everyone to take 10 resolutions, such as saving water, promoting digital transactions, cleanliness, being vocal for local, making quality products, seeing the country before thinking of foreign, promoting natural farming, prompting and adopting millets, fitness and finally, “we will raise the social status of at least one poor family by becoming a member of their household.”

The Prime Minister also said that “as long as there is even a single poor person in the country who does not have basic facilities–no house, electricity, gas, water, no treatment facilities–we will not rest.” (ANI)
