Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Schallenberg held a meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC) held in Germany.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss the existing relations between their respective nations while exchanging perspectives on pressing international issues. Amidst a global backdrop marked by geopolitical challenges, the ministers deliberated on strategies to foster security and peace within the region.
The diplomatic rendezvous underscored the significance of bilateral cooperation between Oman and Austria, highlighting mutual interests and shared objectives in promoting stability and prosperity. Both ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining open channels of communication and collaboration to address common challenges effectively.
Furthermore, Schallenberg’s diplomatic interactions extended as he met and held bilateral discussions with President of the Kurdistan Region – Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani. Recognizing the pivotal role played by the Kurdistan Regional Government amidst regional volatility, Schallenberg reiterated Europe’s and Austria’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with reliable allies in the pursuit of stability.
